February Vacation Week Fun and Advancement for Tribal Students

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Education Department, through support from the Building Pathways for Tribal Youth, have organized a week of educational games, fairs and a basketball tournament during February vacation. All of the events, games and activities are free and open to tribal youth in middle school, high school or are college age and will be held at the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Community and Government Center.

February Vacation Week events include:

  • Monday, February 19 $Money Management Game
  • Tuesday, February 20 Time Management Game
  • Wednesday, February 21 College and Career Fair
  • Wednesday through Friday 4 on 4 Basketball Tournament

The week-long events will kick off with two games from First Nations of Colorado. The first game, held on Monday, February 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., will cover money management. Following the money management game will be a time management game on Tuesday, February 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Wednesday, February 21 will be a college and career fair with representatives from area colleges and businesses. The college and career fair will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

There will also be a 4-on-4-basketball tournament held Wednesday through Friday. All you have to do is participate in one or all of the scheduled activities to be eligible to join the basketball tournament. Now’s the time to start putting your winning team together.

There will also be food, fun and prizes throughout the entire week.
