Amanda WhiteEagle Appointed as Alternate District Court Judge

Tribal Court and the Elders Judiciary Committee would like to welcome to the Judicial Team, Judge Amanda WhiteEagle who has accepted the position as Alternate District Court Judge for the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. Judge WhiteEagle is an enrolled member of the Ho-Chunk Nation. She currently works for the Ho-Chunk Nation Department of Justice as the Attorney General. In addition, she works for the Santee Sioux Nation and the Prairie Island Indian Community as an associate judge. Amanda previously taught law at the University of Wisconsin, and had been an associate judge for the Ho-Chunk Tribe from 2012 to 2015. Judge WhiteEagle has won many awards and participated in many tribal trainings. Judge WhiteEagle graduated from the University of Wisconsin law School with a JD in 2005. The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Court is honored to have an accomplished Judge to round out our judicial team.
